Project Summary

To position QuickBooks Live as a key reason for customers to choose QuickBooks Online, Intuit wanted to produce a series of customer testimonial videos that highlight QuickBooks Online’s affordable, ongoing access to live experts. Each video needed to connect real user stories with QuickBooks’ value proposition to show how live support makes a meaningful difference for small business owners.

This process started with identifying the right customers to feature in the video series.

We began with a large scale outreach campaign to engage and recruit businesses actively using QuickBooks Live, interviewing interested candidates to learn more about their experiences. We wrote briefs on the top candidates and guided the team at QuickBook through the process of selecting the customers we thought would make the most successful testimonial videos. One company that was a perfect fit was Wildly Native Flower Farm, a unique farm and florist business in Chestertown, MD.

During pre production, our team handled all aspects of planning and coordination. This included additional pre interviews with the customer to refine the story and identify relevant b-roll opportunities, scheduling, and location scouting. Our crew, including members from our team based in the San Francisco Bay Area along with local crew from Maryland, spent two days on-location with Wildly Native to film multiple interviews with owner Liza Goetz, along with b-roll to show the farming and florist sides of the business and even time spent with her family outside of work to add depth and emotion to the story.

During post production, we edited Liza’s interviews and integrated the b-roll to craft a narrative that brought the original creative brief to life, while aligning with Intuit’s broader marketing objectives.

The end result was a coordinated series of cross-channel videos that effectively showcase how QuickBooks Live experts help Liza find peace of mind, even as her business needs shift. The video shows how the trusted experts at QuickBooks help her focus on growing her business and spending quality time with her family.

Our scope of work included customer recruiting, discovery, and research, video production, and the delivery of more than 40 video assets in various aspect ratios and formats, optimized for distribution across owned and paid media channels, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
