Gorilla Gives Back

Gorilla Gives Back is a way for our company to take on pro bono work to support social, humanitarian and public health causes that impact the communities our employees work and live in, and in some cases, the world at large.

The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation

The first Gorilla Gives Back project was completed in June, 2017 for The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation (TAAF). TAAF is dedicated to bettering the lives, support networks, and medical care of those affected by aneurysm and other vascular malformations of the brain. The volunteer-run organization is run by a team of dedicated survivors, caregivers, and medical professionals. We partnered with them to create a video that honors survivors and families, explains “why they walk”, and showcases their mission of advocacy and service.

We get asked (somewhat regularly) if we can take on pro-bono projects for non-profit and community organizations. We wish we could help out with every project that comes to us, but the reality is that we simply don’t have the time or resources. We have decided that it’s important for us to find a way to say “yes.” While we still won’t be able to help every cause that asks, Gorilla Gives Back will allow us to give back in a focused, and meaningful way.

How It Works. . .

First, non-profit organizations can submit an application for their project to be considered as part of the Gorilla Gives Back program. Depending on our project schedule and availability, we will select a few projects each year that we will take on. And when we take them on, we mean really take them on! A few notes . . . . because of the nature of the program, time sensitive projects and projects with a specific political agenda generally can’t be considered.

Our Response. . .

We have decided that if we are going to get involved in any project (even a pro bono one), that we want to go all-in. This means that we will treat it like any other project we take on for clients. We will partner with you from pre-production into production, and all the way through post-production, making sure we provide a meaningful piece of content that would otherwise be out of reach for your organization.
